About CRE-5 & Eligibility Notice

The Common Recruitment Examination (CRE)-5 is a special-purpose recruitment initiative for timely appointments to various regular Non-Faculty Group-B and Group-C posts across 32 participating AIIMS and other Central Government Institutes/Bodies. These institutes are independent autonomous bodies functioning separately from AIIMS, New Delhi. The Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi acts only as the conducting body for the Computer Based Test (CBT) — recruitment rules, eligibility, and final appointments rest entirely with each respective institute.

Important: The examination is conducted without scrutiny of eligibility at the time of application. Candidates must satisfy themselves that they meet all eligibility criteria (education, age, experience) for their chosen post as on the closing date — 3rd July 2026. Mere appearance in the CBT does not validate eligibility; candidature can be cancelled at any stage, including after joining, if found ineligible.

What is the CBT exam pattern?
The Computer Based Test (CBT) is 90 minutes long, divided into 5 sections of 18 minutes each. It contains 100 MCQs worth 400 marks (4 marks each) — 20 questions on General Knowledge/Aptitude/Basic Computers and 80 questions on the domain subject relevant to the chosen group. There is negative marking of 1/4 mark per wrong answer.

Yes. Candidates currently working in Government/Semi-Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies or any Government-funded institution (including contractual employees) must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer by 8th July 2026. Failure to do so will mean the candidate cannot appear in the examination, regardless of application status.
