- B.E. / B.Tech (60% or equivalent CGPA) in Computer / Electronics / Mechanical / Electrical / Aeronautical Engineering / Engineering Physics
- Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in teaching / research / science outreach
- Strong background in Astrophysics (through academic projects and/or work experience)
- Knowledge of Linux OS, Python / FORTRAN, and LaTeX
- IAU OAE Centre India: Improve astronomy teaching & learning at middle/high school level through education research & teacher training
- Astronomy Olympiad: Talent nurture programme — training & selection of the Indian team for IOAA
- Astronomy NIUS: Expose UG-level students & teachers to advanced Astrophysics topics
- Material Development & Outreach: Develop learning modules (Vigyan Pratibha), Anandi Newsletter (Marathi), conduct telescope viewing sessions & public lectures
- Full-time B.Sc. / B.S. in Physics (60% or equivalent CGPA) from a recognised university
- Knowledge of personal computers and applications
- 0–2 years experience in educational content development, teaching, ed-tech, education research, or teacher training
- M.Sc. in Physics or relevant discipline (60% or equivalent CGPA)
- Experience in scientific writing / development of educational activities
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, JavaScript
- Familiarity with Physics Education Research (PER)
- Experience developing educational technology (simulations, interactive learning systems)
- Develop educational content in Physics; field-test through teacher training & classroom implementation
- Develop ed-tech based content — simulations, interactive learning systems

- Oversee day-to-day security operations, entry/exit control, visitor management, and security systems
- Implement security contracts; manage security staff, briefings & emergency training
- Conduct enquiries, record statements, submit reports; assist employees in emergencies
- Maintain HBCSE vehicles; implement Transport & Campus Maintenance contracts
- Organise Republic Day and Independence Day events; round-the-clock shift work as required
